In the Jewish calendar, the weeks leading up to the holiest days of the year, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, are energetically supportive of introspection. They are called the Days of Awe and are an invitation to deep transformation. Here is one of my reflections.
In the tohu v’vohu, chaos of life, where do I put my attention? How can I function at full capacity when life around me is spinning? Dishes, proposals, creating, cleaning, new cycles and more. I stop, light a candle, make space in my life and in myself to discern, to listen, to know next steps.
I welcome the love of Shekinah, the Feminine Face of God, to trickle down over my head, into my cells, swirling around inside my body and bathing me with honey-like light that energizes and calms all at the same time.
“Stop. Slow down. Feel your feet on the ground. All is well,” she whispers in my heart. “Listen and move from your heart, making decisions from there. One step at a time. Ask, What am I to do today? What is my next elegant step?
“Breathe in and bathe in the love and support all around and within you. When you put that oxygen mask on first – your own breath of life – you will know how to proceed and you will have all you need to move forward in Grace.”
Blessings on this day and all life as together we dedicate ourselves to Truth and to awakening the world soul along with our own in new and expansive ways.
