I’ve had many a blissful root canal listening to Kenny Rankin (’70’s easy listening) while inhaling nitrous gas. Yesterday, with the dentist drilling in my mouth, Kenny’s voice wafted into my awareness, “It’s oh so peaceful here….”
I felt that peace in my belly, my breath rising and falling I was totally at peace despite the chaos in my mouth! (and I didn’t even have the gas!)
I made note of that feeling so I could recall it when feeling stressed.
Today was that day. In Joyful Light Center I held “Studio Time”, an hour I do weekly where we come together to slow down, create, and listen to our inner guidance. I guided everyone to a place in their bodies where they might feel at peace, even if it was as tiny as an eyelash. I went to that belly place, breathing in and out. Tears came, but still, this painting and poem helped me, amidst tears, remember what I need.
It’s Oh So Peaceful Here
Tears and fears are here … and I breathe.
Can I recall the peaceful rhythm that resides within no matter what?
Where is She? My inner angel, my rock, my overflowing river of Love and Security?
Whispering amidst the chaos and disruption,
“It’s all OK. There is a bigger plan.”
There is a war inside that’s reflected throughout, along the ancestral line and in this that you call reality.
What is required is Presence within. Trust.
Hold it all, the sorrow, pain, celebration and exuberance.
I/You/All are there in the center, in the Presence of the ONE.
Amplify that LIGHT within. Let it shine and envelop the dissonance.
In time, all will be well.
